Lyudmila Shimko, born and raised in Odesa, Ukraine, relocated to San Francisco in 1998. Following the russian invasion of Ukraine in 2014, she, along with her husband, has consistently supported Ukrainian soldiers and various organizations providing ongoing aid to Ukraine, while raising awareness about the country in the US, with her family in Odesa remaining dear to her heart.

Ms. Shimko joined Veritas in 2014 and is responsible for overseeing asset management activities, developing and executing investment strategies for the company’s assets in the Bay Area. She has been actively involved in the management of multifamily real estate for over 20 years. Prior to joining Veritas, Ms. Shimko served in various roles at the Laramar Group, where she oversaw a range of asset types, including new development, stabilized, and value-add communities across the United States.
